Plastixs, a small and highly successful company located in Shrewsbury, seeks a full charge Bookkeeper. This person is responsible for a myriad of accounting/financial responsibilities and must be self-motivated, an outstanding team player, and possess excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
The ideal candidate will be accustomed to and thrive in a heavily transactional, fast-paced and dynamic work environment. They will be flexible and adapt well to constantly changing priorities based on customer needs.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Process accounts receivables including checks, ACH, credit cards.
2. Process accounts payable including credit cards, international wire transfers, and Bill Pay.
3. Process accounts receivable including credit card transactions.
4. Create and enter vendor and customer invoices.
5. Process vendor and customers credits.
6. Create customer invoices & statements.
7. Perform monthly reconciliation of checking account, credit cards, and bank statements.
8. Process and enter payroll in QuickBooks bi-weekly.
9. Send overdue payment reminders to customers and follow-up.
10. Set up accounts for new customers and new vendors accurately and with all required documentation.
11. Ensure legal requirements compliance in all accounting areas.
12. Enter sales taxes for several states.
13. Enter employer IRA contributions.
14. Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
15. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
16. Provide guidance and mentoring to an accounting clerk.
Requirements:
1. High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer associate’s degree or applicable training.
2. At least 5 years’ experience as a full-charge bookkeeper, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
3. High level of proficiency in QuickBooks Experience – prefer QuickBooks Enterprise 2021 or newer for Manufacturing & Wholesale.
4. Supervisory experience preferred.
5. Experience with MS Dynamics is highly desirable.
6. Proven aptitude in dealing with complex issues and resolving problems.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
8. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
9. Ability to communicate positively, professionally, and effectively by telephone and email.
10. Strong Microsoft Office skills including excel, and outlook.
11. Team player, ‘can-do’ attitude and superb attention to details and organizational/analytical skills.
