These positions are part time - 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) from 7am - 12pm.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced American Sign Language (ASL) Sign Language Interpreters to support a need at Lockheed Martin. As an ASL Interpreter, you will provide interpretation services for our deaf/hard of hearing employee(s) in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will be fluent in ASL and have experience working in a fast-paced industrial setting.

As an ASL Interpreter, you will provide interpretation services for our deaf/hard of hearing employee(s) in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will be fluent in ASL and have experience working in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely ASL interpretation for deaf and hard of hearing employees in the machine shop
- Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders
- Interpret meetings, training sessions, and other work-related activities
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with others to ensure seamless communication
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards
- National certification as an ASL Interpreter (e.g., NIC, CI, or CT)
- 2 years of experience as an ASL Interpreter in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Fluency in ASL and English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with exposure to machinery and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a machine shop or similar industrial environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety protocols
- Certification in specialized areas, such as OSHA or industrial safety
