About the role:
We are looking for a Sales Engagement Strategist to serve as a critical link between our marketing efforts and sales team, ensuring that leads generated through our campaigns receive personalized and timely follow-up.
This role goes beyond traditional lead nurturing to optimize processes, enhance workflows, and develop scalable strategies for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Management and Follow-Up
- Engage with inbound leads generated from marketing campaigns (e.g., webinars, content downloads, paid ads, and website inquiries) through various communication channels (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Qualify leads to assess their fit based on defined Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and handoff high-quality opportunities to the sales team.
- Maintain timely and consistent follow-up, ensuring no lead falls through the cracks.
Cadence Development and Optimization
- Create and refine multi-touchpoint outreach cadences, including emails, calls, and social media interactions, designed to engage and nurture inbound leads effectively.
- Continuously analyze cadence performance metrics (e.g., open rates, reply rates, conversion rates) to identify areas for improvement and optimize based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and ensure cadences reflect the brand voice and resonate with target audiences.
Workflow and Process Enhancement
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure seamless integration between lead generation tools (e.g., CRM, marketing automation platforms, and sales enablement software).
- Design and improve workflows for lead assignment, follow-up tracking, and progress reporting to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks in existing processes and propose innovative solutions to improve speed and accuracy in lead follow-up.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead response time, qualification rates, and pipeline contribution, and present actionable insights to marketing and sales leadership.
- Conduct A/B testing for cadences and communication strategies to inform future improvements.
- Report on the overall health of inbound lead management processes and recommend strategies for scaling.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between the marketing and sales teams, ensuring alignment on goals, messaging, and target accounts.
- Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and campaign effectiveness to continuously refine lead-generation strategies.
- Partner with the sales team to understand their pipeline needs and align inbound efforts accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Sales Development Representative or related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of inbound marketing and lead nurturing principles.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools (Salesloft, Zoominfo).
- Analytical mindset with experience measuring and optimizing outreach performance.
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

This role will be based out of our San Francisco, CA office. Planisware currently has a hybrid policy of working in-office four days per week, Monday-Thursday, with remote flexibility on Friday. This is subject to change as the company sees fit.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
