OR RN Job Details – Hickory, NC
- Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/26/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week (06:45 – 17:15)
- Call Requirements: 7 days per month, including weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Unit Size: 13 beds
- Technology: Robotics (DaVinci), Mako, Holmium Laser, Hana table
- Electronic Health Record: Cerner EHR
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000-$2050
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ADN or BSN required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Experience with surgical procedures; orthopedic or neuro experience preferred
- Ability to participate in call rotation (7 days/month)
- Comfortable providing clinical support for adult patients; minimal outpatient pediatrics
- Must wear hospital-provided scrubs (scrub machine available)
- Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and high-quality standards
- Assist with a range of surgical procedures, including orthopedic and neurological surgeries
- Operate and maintain advanced surgical equipment and robotics
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic health records
- Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to urgent surgical needs
