NICU RN Job Details
- Location: Danville, PA 17822 – Central Pennsylvania healthcare community with small-town charm, beautiful parks, and access to outdoor recreation.
- Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract (Locum Tenens Registered Nurse)
- Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 09/29/2025 – End: 12/28/2025)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights (minimum 4 nights in 4 weeks)
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: 24 hours of Friday and 36 hours of Saturday/Sunday coverage every four weeks; alternate holiday coverage required
- Additional Coverage: May float to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or provide 1:1 patient sitting as needed
- Hourly Pay Rate: $85/hr
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910–$1960
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work flexible day/night rotations and adapt to various clinical units (NICU, PICU)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate neonatal care in the NICU setting
- Monitor, assess, and document neonate patient status and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate and support families throughout the neonatal care process
- Float to PICU or provide 1:1 patient sitting as assigned
- Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday coverage
