We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized imaging equipment.
Key responsibilities include maintaining ARRT certification, ensuring patient safety and accurate identification, preparing patients, and executing procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages.
You will demonstrate proper positioning, operate imaging equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, and provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort.
Additional duties involve infection control, accurate documentation, adherence to protocols for coding and quality control, and effective communication with healthcare teams.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification, a state radiologic technologist license, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include ARRT Mammography Certification or enrollment in mammography training.
Skills & competencies required are proficiency in mammography and biopsy procedures, patient safety, radiation protection, protocol adherence, image evaluation, emergency response, and effective communication.
