Role Overview: The ED Tech Lead provides direct and indirect patient care under supervision, supporting patients of all ages with acute and chronic health issues. Responsibilities include performing clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, ECG recordings, oxygen therapy, catheterization, and patient assessments, as well as assisting with procedures, mobility, nutrition, and elimination. They serve as a resource and trainer for other technicians, manage scheduling, payroll, supply ordering, restraint audits, and promote a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
- Key Responsibilities: Precept and train new staff, prepare training materials, participate in quality and safety initiatives, order supplies, and maintain inventory. Ensure adherence to policies, promote patient safety, infection control, personal safety, and support patient wellness through environment maintenance and assistance with mobility, nutrition, and elimination procedures.
- Qualifications & Skills: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), high school diploma or GED, and prior emergency department technician experience. Demonstrates knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and safety protocols, with strong problem-solving and mentoring skills.
