This position requires a valid Michigan (secondary) teaching certificate. We will work with individuals that do not possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate but have a Bachelor’s Degree in social studies or a related field for certification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate: RX certification required. Multiple certifications/endorsements preferred, but not required.
  • Strong belief that all students can and will be successful
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum content
  • Able to plan effective, engaging lessons and use data to plan and adjust instruction
  • Ability to interact positively and motivate students
  • Able to work with colleagues to improve student outcomes
  • Willing to accept responsibility for student learning
  • Willingness to teach a lesson to students as part of the interview process

STARTING DATE: Start of the 2025-2026 school year

SALARY: In accordance with PEA Agreement
