What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman of Buildings and Grounds position at Plainville Municipal Center?
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise and physically assist the maintenance team (Levels I-III and seasonal staff). We believe in "leading from the front."
- Operational Oversight: Plan and schedule work assignments, coordinate with contractors, and manage inventory to ensure our team has what they need to succeed.
- Problem Solve: Respond to emergencies with a level head and implement corrective procedures to keep our community running smoothly.
- Administrative Support: Prepare weekly payroll, maintain maintenance records, and step in as Superintendent in their absence.
- Safety First: Facilitate and organize training to ensure every team member is proficient and safe in their operation of equipment.

- A Skilled Maintainer: You have a solid working knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, equipment repair, and cost-effective project management.

- Experience: At least five (5) years in building maintenance, construction, or landscaping, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Requirements: A valid Connecticut Driver's License (or the ability to obtain one).
- Physical Ability: This is a physically active role requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally 100 lbs), climb, crawl, and work in various outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, non-union position with a competitive salary ranging from $81,143.96 - $101,429.95 based on experience and qualifications, plus overtime. We offer a lucrative benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, long-term disability, and a defined contribution retirement plan.
