What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricing and Promotion Analyst Sales position at pladis Global?
PURPOSE:
This role sits within the Revenue Growth Management function and is responsible for driving profitable growth through analytics and insights across pricing, promotion, trade investment, and product mix. The position partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to enhance the effectiveness of trade promotions, optimize investment decisions, and strengthen data-driven commercial decision-making.
The analyst plays a key role in managing commercial datasets, maintaining trade promotion planning tools, and developing reporting and actionable insights. Through this work, the role supports the organization in maximizing net revenue and improving promotional return on investment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
RGM Commercial Analytics
- Analyze key drivers of revenue and profitability including pricing, promotions, trade spend, and product mix
- Support the development of recurring RGM dashboards and performance reporting
- Generate insights on promotion effectiveness, trade investment ROI, and customer profitability
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve revenue realization and promotional performance
- Support the preparation of materials for monthly commercial performance reviews
Trade Promotion Planning & Performance
- Influence promotional planning process, providing inputs and event details going into Blue Planner
- Ensure promotion plans align with customer agreements
- Monitor trade promo performance versus original plan, highlight key over/under spends
- Support post-event analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of major promotions
- Assist in identifying best practices and opportunities to improve promotional ROI
- Partner with Sales teams to ensure promotional plans and trade investments are accurately captured
Data & Reporting
- Maintain and manage core datasets (Blue Planner, POS Data, Financial SKU Data) used for RGM reports
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support commercial decision-making
- Improve reporting automation and data accessibility where possible
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across commercial reporting outputs
- Work closely with Finance to align reporting on trade spend and net revenue
- Contribute to building a stronger data-driven culture within the commercial organization
Pricing & Trade Investment Support
- Assist with analysis to support pricing initiatives and price changes
- Support evaluation of trade investments across customers and channels
- Help identify opportunities to improve trade spend efficiency
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation); Power Pivot, Power Query, and Power BI experience a PLUS
- Strong computer skills, with experience using Windows-based PC programs. (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong sense of Teamwork and collaboration
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
- Ability to translate data into clear insights and business recommendations
- Willingness to learn and grow professional
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in CPG, retail analytics, commercial finance, or sales analytics

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Base starting salary ranges from $76k - $100k/year. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role includes:
