Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations when needed
- Assist guests with special requests or seating preferences, ensuring their needs are met promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming environment
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Host in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong background in customer service and guest relations, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience working in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus, providing insight into guest services and guest relations
- Knowledge of serving protocols, food service standards, and hospitality best practices is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Excellent phone etiquette skills to manage reservations and guest inquiries professionally
