What are the responsibilities and job description for the RNG Operator (Wellfield) position at Piper Maddox?
Our Client is a growing RNG Developer, Owner & Operator that is scaling its U.S. renewable natural gas portfolio and expanding its technical operations teams.
The platform is backed by a global energy and commodities company with $13B in long-term assets and significant investment across the broader energy-transition space. Over the last year, the organization has commissioned 6 RNG facilities, with additional growth underway.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate and monitor landfill gas collection and wellfield systems
- Monitor and adjust gas wells, headers, blowers, compressors, and pumps
- Perform routine wellfield inspections, readings, and adjustments
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls issues
- Monitor SCADA, PLCs, gas flow, pressure, vacuum, and operating conditions
- Identify and respond to wellfield issues, leaks, condensate, and abnormal conditions
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance across the wellfield and plant
- Maintain accurate operating logs and prioritize safety, reliability, and gas recovery
What You'll Need
- Must have LFG wellfield experience
- Ideally RNG or gas processing background in operations
