I am partnered with a leading international energy trading company with a strong presence across North America. They are seeking a Power Trader to add to their growing team in Stamford, Connecticut!
Responsibilities:
- Pricing support for origination and marketing
- Manage and optimize the financial power portfolio for the desk, ensuring compliance with risk limits and trading mandates
- Monitor market fundamentals, transmission constraints, and basis dynamics within PJM market
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience on a commercial power trading desk
- Be familiar with term and spot portfolio management
- Hands-on exposure to PJM and/or MISO power markets
- Be able to provide fixed price hedges to other portfolios
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with origination and analytics teams
- Comfortability with transacting on ICE and with brokers
