Responsibilities for the Commercial HVAC Chiller Mechanic include:
- Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex HVAC systems, including Trane, Carrier, York, and Daikin chillers (centrifugal, reciprocating, screw, and scroll types).
- Capable of retrofitting systems with basic knowledge of sheet metal and piping; skilled in reading schematics and using proper tools for diagnostics.
- Operating PCs and Building Management Systems in DOS or Windows environments.
- Responsible for chiller overhauls, inspections, and maintaining detailed records of work and materials used.
- Maintains clear, empathetic communication with clients, explaining work performed and system issues both verbally and in writing.
- Uses systematic troubleshooting techniques, checks full systems before job completion, and seeks assistance when needed
- 3‐5 years of experience in the field working on chiller equipment
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Intermediate ability to prioritize own wide‐ranging workload and work independently
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Intermediate ability to work collaboratively with associates and vendors
- Salary Range: $50/hr- $65/hr **depending on experience*
