Cloud Security Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer for a world wide organization located in the Reston, VA area. The Cloud Security Engineer role sits within the security team where they leverage their analytical, monitoring, triage and infrastructure skills. The Cloud Security Engineer will need to sit on site 2-3 days per week in Fulton, MD.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Security Engineer include:

• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of web application security scanning tools and processes
• Contribute to the analysis of operational environments and provide recommendations for enhancing existing processes
• Support the deployment and oversight of essential infrastructure systems critical to core business operations
• Help to support the security of containerized applications and Kubernetes systems
• Report security risks and translate technical issues to business leaders to keep them informed
  
  

Requirements for the Cloud Security Engineer include:

• 1 years’ experience in security engineering
• Strong proven experience with EntraID, including identity governance and access controls
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
• Background working with RMF and NIST
• Proven proficiency in languages such as Python
  
  

Compensation for the Cloud Security Engineer includes:

• $80,000 – $115,000
