What are the responsibilities and job description for the ER Accounting Specialist position at Pioneers?
Position Summary:
Process expense reports from missionaries and mobilization base personnel. Assures compliance with established policies. Communicates with missionaries and Mob base personnel on questions or obtaining information on expense report submissions.
Qualifications:
- Committed to global Missions and overall vision of Pioneers
- Must practice and support the relevant elements of the US Mobilization Base Manual
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with using integrated accounting software
- Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to work in a digital and paperless environment
- Good math and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Proactive, positive attitude, and team player
Responsibilities:
- Electronically process expense reports for missionaries and mob base personnel
- Maintain the ERs email inbox and respond to questions
- Update team statistics spreadsheet
- Maintain ER team meeting notes and other documentation of policies and procedures
- Help with other team needs as assigned

- Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
- Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Sitting at a desk working on a computer for many hours.
