The platform invests across private equity, private credit, real assets, and hedge funds, with more than 170 dedicated investment professionals globally. The venture capital team invests across primary fund commitments, co-investments, and secondaries, partnering with leading venture managers and high-growth companies worldwide.
Opportunity:
The Senior Associate will join the Venture Capital investment team and focus on evaluating venture capital and growth equity fund investments, primarily across North America. This individual will work closely with senior investment professionals and collaborate across the broader platform on co-investment and secondary opportunities.
Location: San Diego, CA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on venture capital and growth equity funds
- Evaluate managers, portfolio companies, fund performance, and investment strategies
- Prepare investment memorandums and supporting materials for the Investment Committee
- Assess co-investment and secondary opportunities alongside leading venture firms
- Monitor venture capital market trends, emerging technologies, and innovation sectors
- Support portfolio monitoring, manager reviews, and performance analysis
- Develop and maintain relationships with GPs, founders, and industry participants
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in venture capital, growth equity, private markets investing, investment banking, consulting, or an institutional investment platform
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and due diligence capabilities
- Experience evaluating investment opportunities and conducting manager research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset
