Pineland BHDD is hiring an Intake Counseling Support Professional (CSP) to provide intake services, assessments, care coordination, and supportive therapeutic interventions for individuals receiving behavioral health services. This position plays a vital role in connecting individuals to appropriate levels of care, supporting treatment engagement, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation—without the requirement for professional licensure.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Intake, Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct intake assessments and reassessments for individuals entering services
- Complete required screening tools in compliance with DBHDD and agency standards,
- Compile assessment data to support development of person‑centered treatment plans
- Finalize intake forms and progress notes in the EMR
Supportive Services & Lower‑Acuity Interventions
- Provide structured, lower‑level therapeutic and support interventions
- Provide supportive counseling and skill‑building under agency protocols
- Monitor progress and report clinical concerns to supervisors or licensed staff
Care Coordination & Team Collaboration
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team (MDT) meetings
- Provide scheduled updates on assigned caseload
- Coordinate referrals and link individuals to community resources and services
Crisis Support
- Assist with crisis response and documentation under supervision
- Complete required screening tools during crisis situations
- Promptly notify clinical leadership of elevated risk or need for higher‑level intervention
Education & Experience Required
- Minimum Requirements: one year experience providing social or direct care services to individuals diagnosed with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability, Mental Health Disorder, and/or Substance Use Disorder in a human service setting OR an Associate degree in a related field OR One year experience at the lower level or position equivalent
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- This position does not require professional licensure.
- Must have a valid State of Georgia Driver's License
