Pineland BHDD is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Associate Director of Quality Assurance to support agency‑wide quality improvement efforts across our mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services. This position reports direcly to the Chief Compliance & Quality Officer and plays a critical role in incident management, complaint resolution, compliance oversight, and continuous quality improvement.
Position Overview
The Associate Director of Quality Assurance supports the administration and execution of the agency’s Quality Assurance (QA) program. This role focuses on incident review, complaint investigation, regulatory compliance, and operational oversight, while collaborating with leadership and program staff to promote high‑quality, person‑centered services. The Associate Director helps reinforce a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Support the Chief Compliance & Quality Officer in managing and implementing the agency’s QA program
- Monitor compliance with DBHDD, state, federal, and accrediting body requirements
- Assist with quality reviews, audits, corrective action plans, and follow‑up activities
- Support policy review, implementation, and interpretation under agency guidance
Incident & Complaint Management
- Receive, review, track, and investigate incidents, complaints, and grievances
- Ensure incidents and complaints are documented, reported, and resolved within required timelines
- Coordinate with programs and leadership to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
- Assist in developing recommendations to reduce risk and improve service delivery
Oversight & Continuous Improvement
- Assist with monitoring utilization management, service delivery practices, and quality indicators
- Compile and analyze data to support quality improvement initiatives
- Prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations for leadership review
- Collaborate with cross‑departmental leaders to promote best practices and consistent standards
Collaboration & Support
- Serve as a resource to program leadership and staff regarding quality, compliance, and performance expectations
- Promote a culture of open communication, accountability, and quality improvement
- Participate in meetings, committees, and workgroups related to quality and compliance
What We’re Looking For
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required in healthcare administration, public health, behavioral health, social work, or a related field
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, compliance, or related healthcare/behavioral health operations
Experience working in behavioral health, public sector healthcare, or community‑based services preferred
