What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Specialist position at PINELAND BH/DD CSB?
We are hiring a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) for multiple programs within the agency, including Substance Abuse Transitional Residential (STR) in Statesboro, GA.
A Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) is an individual who is trained and certified to provide ongoing support to individuals and their families receiving mental health and/or substance use recovery support services. A CPS work from the perspective of their lived experience to help build environments conductive to recovery. They promote hope, personal responsibility, empowerment, education, and self-determination in the communities where they serve.
Hours are M-F from 8am-5pm working with our STR Program. Must be willing to travel to other worksites/locations but primarily housed at John's Place, Statesboro, GA.
