Job Purpose
The Tennis Coach plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional coaching experience while supporting the Academy's mission of developing players both on and off the court. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in private lessons, group programs, camps, and special events, while fostering a positive, disciplined, and motivating environment that encourages technical improvement, personal growth, and a lifelong passion for tennis.

Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development
- Deliver high-quality private lessons, group classes, clinics, camps, and academy training sessions.
- Plan and conduct engaging, organized, and purposeful practices tailored to players' age, skill level, and developmental goals.
- Teach proper technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of the game using Academy-approved coaching methodologies.
- Monitor player progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to help athletes achieve their full potential.
- Foster confidence, sportsmanship, discipline, resilience, and a growth mindset in every player.
- Ensure that all sessions are safe, enjoyable, challenging, and developmentally appropriate.
Program Support
- Assist with Academy events, tournaments, exhibitions, camps, evaluations, and promotional activities.
- Support the implementation of Academy curriculum and seasonal programming.
- Help maintain consistency in coaching standards across all Academy programs.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches to ensure smooth daily operations and a unified coaching philosophy.
- Assist with court setup, equipment organization, and maintaining a professional training environment.
Communication & Customer Service
- Build positive relationships with players, parents, members, and fellow staff.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with families regarding player development, scheduling, and program expectations.
- Respond to questions and concerns in a timely, courteous, and solution-oriented manner.
- Always represent the Academy in a positive and professional manner.
Teamwork & Academy Culture
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and high-performance coaching culture.
- Reinforce Academy values, policies, behavioral expectations, and standards of excellence.
- Support fellow coaches during busy programming periods and assist where needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, coach education sessions, and professional development opportunities.

- Current SafeSport certification (or willingness to obtain).
