Job Title: After School Team Member
Job Purpose
Provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while delivering exceptional hospitality to members and their families. This position is responsible for supervising children, promoting participation in activities, and creating a positive experience through attentive care, teamwork, and professionalism.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Child Supervision & Operations
- Provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children.
- Actively supervise children and monitor activities to promote participation and ensure safety.
- Check children in and out of the Energy Center in accordance with Company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children and families.
Member Service
- Interact professionally and courteously with parents, children, and members.
- Demonstrate genuine hospitality by acknowledging members and providing timely, friendly service.
- Partner with the Hospitality Supervisor or manager to resolve member concerns or service issues.
- Foster positive relationships with members, coworkers, and leadership while supporting The Company's culture and values.
Communication & Teamwork
- Review the department communication log regularly to stay informed of updates and ongoing activities.
- Accurately document relevant information for coworkers and management in the communication log.
- Maintain current staff contact information and remain informed of department schedules.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members as assigned.
- Perform all duties necessary to support the efficient operation of the department.
- Participate in club events, department meetings, and other team activities as assigned.
Professionalism
- Complete all required onboarding and department training within three months of employment.
- Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and the annual Company All Staff Meeting.
- Maintain knowledge of Company programs, services, and events.
- Report to work on time for scheduled shifts and follow department procedures when requesting or arranging shift coverage.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and treat members, guests, and coworkers with courtesy and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Training & Certifications
Required Training
- Complete and maintain all required Company training, including:
- Bloodborne Pathogens (annually)
- Emergency Response Protocol (ERP) (every two years)
- Sexual Harassment Prevention (annually)
- Cybersecurity Awareness (annually)
- Preventing Child Sexual Abuse (annually)
Required Certifications
- Current CPR/AED Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
Additional Requirements
Complete the required 5-Hour Foundation in Health and Safety e-learning course.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to actively engage with and supervise children throughout the shift.
