What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Team Evaluation Chair (0.5 FTE) position at Pine Grove Elementary?
The Triton Regional School District is searching for a dynamic Special Education EvaluationTeam Chair to lead our IEP meeting process. This position will support students and families in grades PK-6.
The Evaluation Team Chair will:
- Facilitate initial evaluation meetings, re-evaluation meetings and annual IEP meetings
- Schedule all team meetings with required personnel and parents/guardians.
- Complete all required state mandated paperwork within the appropriate timelines
- Work collaboratively with Triton educators, parents, and students to facilitate productive meetings which promote student success.
- Work in conjunction with special education staff and school administration to ensure that IEPs accurately reflect a child’s ability, - strengths, needs, supports, and services.
- Providing guidance to special education staff regarding a variety of issues related to writing IEP`s, communicating with parents and - problem solving as needed
Requirements:
- Certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to facilitate a structured and organized Team meeting
- Ability to establish a positive relationship with parents/guardians and staff members
- Ability to provide guidance to Special Educators regarding a variety of issues related to writing IEPs, communicating with parents and problem solving as needed
- In depth knowledge of special education policies and procedures

Salary : $56,935 - $111,105
