Responsibilities
- Plan and assist with daily recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.
- Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
- Lead games, arts and crafts, music, exercise programs, holiday celebrations, and special events.
- Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
- Build positive relationships with residents while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Prepare activity supplies and maintain activity areas.
- Document resident participation and assist with activity records.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.
- Follow all facility policies and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in activities, healthcare, customer service, or working with seniors is a plus, but not required.
- Friendly, compassionate, dependable, and patient.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to meet all employment and background check requirements.
