What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment/Activities Assistant position at Sumner Place?
At Sumner Place, our Life Enrichment Assistants are vital to providing quality life to our residents by ensuring they engage in purposeful and meaningful activities and interventions.
Qualified candidates will possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude, and take pride in bringing joy to our residents every day! This role does play an important role in providing meaningful interaction for individuals with dementia/ Alzheimer’s Disease. Our Life Enrichment / Activities Assistants stay active on their feet throughout the day.
This is a part-time (24 hours/week) position with an every other weekend requirement.
Daily tasks include:
Planning and leading groups and activities
Providing one-on-one engagement to residents
Completing and documenting assessments
Gathering residents for activities and assisting to load and secure residents into vehicles for outings
