Key Responsibilities
- Perform the field work to support the arc flash studies, power system studies, and IR scans. This includes on-site data collection at various facilities, applying arc flash labels upon completion, and assisting with IR scans.
- Perform on-site data collection/verification using all appropriate boundaries and PPE.
- Document all necessary information to perform a complete power system study.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to encourage repeat sales and positive referrals.
- Take prompt action to effectively resolve any customer complaints that may arise.
- Complete projects, jobs, and reports with efficiency and accuracy.
- Travel to different job sites within Wisconsin, and the United States.
- Opportunity to transition into an Arc Flash Customer Representative role if mutually agreed upon within 6 months of starting. This role involves additional tasks such as creating one-line drawings and collaborating with the group electrical engineer to complete the studies. This Customer Rep role is the point person to their customer and will help to maintain their study when there are future changes.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Strong Industrial electrical background and knowledge. State licensed JW or Master Electrician.
- Self-motivated, ability to work alone.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately.
- Willingness to travel and work on various job sites.
- Approximate field work location
- 40% Within IBEW 494 Southeast and KM jurisdiction
- 30% Within Wisconsin & Northern Illinois
- 30% Within the continental United States
- Overtime anticipated when traveling.
- Ability to perform light installations ( ex. install infrared windows, Panduit VeriSafe testers, modify breaker settings, assist with preventive maintenance)
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Assist with Infrared Thermal Scans when necessary.
- Ability to read one-line drawings.
- Knowledge of Arc Flash software (Easy power, SKM) would be a benefit, but not required.
