What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior High School Assistant Principal (Grades 7-8) position at Pickerington Local School District?
Pickerington Local School District seeks qualified applicants for an Assistant Junior High School Principal (grades 7-8).
Job Goal:
- To provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for directing assigned programs and services.
- To provide information and serve as a resource to others.
- Supervise assigned staff, coordinate school activities and addressing issues, situations and/or problems that occur on campus or with enrolled students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio certificate/license for principal including grades 5-12
- Master's degree, with a major in education administration, curriculum, and supervision preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience (at least 18 months in the secondary level under a standard 4-9 or secondary teacher's certificate)
- Successful demonstration and/or knowledge of the Ohio Standards for Principals preferred
- OTES Credentialed Evaluator
- Ability to interpret/analyze data to determine student success
- Work collaboratively with building principal and other district/building departments
- And/or any additional qualifications, training or other credentials, as determined by the Board of Education.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience (220 Day Contract)
