Assistant Principal - Lincoln High School

SUMMARY: Responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the administration of the total school program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Demonstrates sound judgement and emotional stability. •Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others. •Ensures the safety of students. •Interacts with staff, students and the community in a positive and respectful manner. •Implements District and building policies and guidelines. •Assists with building supervision. •Assists with building discipline. •Supervises activities/events. •Assists with staff supervision, hiring and evaluation. •Assists with budgetary matters. •Assists with staff development. •Assists with instructional leadership, as appropriate. •Other duties as assigned by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Supervises employees in the high school when the principal is absent from the building. •Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. •Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: •Master’s Degree in Education. •Five years of teaching experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: •Valid High School Principal License is required.

Salary : $109,920 - $137,276
