The Senior Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, coordination and strategic planning of all services and programs at the Easley Young at Heart (YAH) senior dining and activity center. This role ensures high-quality programming, efficient operations, and alignment with the organization's mission to enhance the well-being and quality of life for older adults. The leads a team of exercise staff and volunteers, oversees facility operations, and collaborates with community partners to deliver diverse, inclusive, and engaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight for operation
- Supervise exercise staff and volunteers
- Ensure safety standards, policies, and organizational goals
Program Development & Implementation
- Develop and manage Easley YAH senior programming while serving as the site coordinator
- Design, coordinate and evaluate recreational, educational, wellness, and social service programs tailored to older adults
- Collaborate with Executive Director to develop monthly calendar, special events and outreach activities
- Monitor participation and collect feedback to improve programs and services
Budget & Administrative Management
- Manage center budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Track expenditures and program costs
- Prepare monthly reports to Executive Director
- Track memberships, participation, and donations
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, and local/state regulations
- Maintain accurate records of service, attendance and any incident reports
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or recreation is preferred but not required
- Relevant experience working with seniors, program administration, and supervision is essential
- Prior experience in a senior center setting is a PLUS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Must be highly organized and capable of planning, implementing, and managing programs and activities effectively
- Must have the ability to demonstrate patience, empathy and the ability to create strong relationships with seniors, volunteers and staff
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of cloud-based Microsoft applications is required
- Required experience in developing, planning and managing a variety of educational, social, and leisure activities for older adults
- Familiar with community resources and agencies that serve seniors within the Upstate
- Must be capable of maintaining records, preparing reports and managing budgets
- This position may require some physical effort, such as lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs, the ability to stand, walk, and use office equipment
- This position may require light kitchen duties to include serving lunch, clean up and food safe handling certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
