Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated part time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role combines clinical and front desk responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient patient care and office operations. You’ll prepare patients for exams, assist providers during procedures, manage records, and perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and greeting patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Bilingual skills to support a diverse patient population
Key Responsibilities:
- Take vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers during exams and procedures
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments
- Greet and check in patients at the front desk
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries professionally
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Maintain and update patient records accurately
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in medical assisting and phlebotomy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Competence in using medical instruments and office systems
- Attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with EHR systems
- Bilingual communication abilities
Schedule - Two (2) - 10 hours days and every other weekend (8a-1p)
