Nephrologist

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Nephrologist to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, and hypertension.
• Provide inpatient and/or outpatient nephrology care, including dialysis management (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis).
• Order and interpret renal-specific diagnostic tests and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on kidney disease, dialysis options, and transplant evaluation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students, as applicable.
