Part-Time, Exempt
BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers (BMS), a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a Part-Time Nephrologist to provide high-quality kidney care to adult patients in a community health setting.
About the Role
The Nephrologist will deliver outpatient nephrology services, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic kidney conditions. This role works collaboratively with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to expand access to specialty care for underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient nephrology consultations and follow-up care
- Diagnose and manage chronic kidney disease and related conditions
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Collaborate with primary care, nursing, and care coordination teams
- Ensure timely referrals, continuity of care, and accurate documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, HRSA, and managed care guidelines
- Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
- Active, unrestricted New York State medical license and DEA
- Hospital privileges or ability to obtain

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience, pro-rated for part-time work with salary range: $120,000 – $125,000
