Lead Obstetrician/Gynecologist (Lead OB/GYN)
BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers (BMS) | Multi-Site
Full-Time (Part-Time Considered), Exempt
About the Role
The Lead OB/GYN combines hands-on clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, supporting high-quality, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic care while mentoring providers and advancing women’s health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care, including prenatal, postpartum, family planning, and gynecologic services
- Perform routine and high-risk OB/GYN procedures
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to OB/GYN providers and staff
- Establish and oversee clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in on-call coverage and maintain hospital privileges
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support integrated, whole-person care
Qualifications
- MD or DO; Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active New York State medical license and DEA
- Minimum 5 years of OB/GYN experience with leadership or supervisory experience
- Hospital privileges or ability to obtain
- Experience in FQHC or safety-net settings preferred; bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $298,000 – $303,000
- Eligibility for NHSC Loan Repayment and Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
