What are the responsibilities and job description for the Battery Production Technician position at Physical Sciences Inc.?
Imperia Batteries, a division of Physical Sciences Inc., is seeking full-time Battery Assembly Technicians to join our team at our Methuen, MA facility. Technicians will perform routine Lithium-ion cell and battery assembly tasks. These tasks include working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes stamping electrodes, preparing assembly components, soldering and welding. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in lithium-ion cell manufacturing.
Individuals must be:
- Detail oriented and able to follow standard operating procedures for materials handling and preparation.
- Hands on skills required for operations including weighing, cleaning equipment, processing, and performing assembly tasks.
- Comfortable with hand tools and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to track components/inventory during production activities and record relevant information in production logs.
- Able to work in a dry room environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong English communication, reading, and comprehension skills are essential for following safety procedures, production instructions, and documentation requirements.
- Experience with soldering or ultrasonic welding a plus
- Experience with full face respirators a plus
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Pay Range: The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $57K–$62K. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, education, and specialized skills.
