Our certified childcare center is seeking a dedicated, qualified Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children, while also supporting and supervising aides and volunteers assigned to the classroom. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.
This position will start part-time, with a strong possibility of becoming full-time.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide active supervision of an assigned group of children at all times.
- Supervise and support any aides or volunteers assigned to your classroom.
- Implement ageappropriate curriculum and maintain a positive, nurturing learning environment.
- Follow all center policies, state regulations, and health/safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Meet all initial training requirements (OAR 4143050370) and annual training requirements (OAR 4143050380)
- Schoolage only Classroom Teacher Qualifications:
- Have attained 1 of the following options (A, B, C, or D): o A: 60 hours of experience working in the classroom; AND Completion of 20 clock hours of training, completed within the last 5 years, focused on schoolage child care that meets the following core knowledge criteria:
- 5 clock hours in understanding and guiding behavior (UGB). o5 clock hours in learning environments and curriculum (LEC).
- 5 clock hours in human growth and development (HGD) o5 clock hours in program management (PM).
- B: At least 240 hours of qualifying experience working with schoolage children in the last 5 years in a Certified Child Care Center, Certified Family, Registered Family or comparable group care program.
- C: At least an Associate’s Degree in: o Early childhood education
- Child development o Elementary education
- Special education o Physical education
- Recreation o Human development
- Child and family studies o Home economics
- D: At least a Step 6 in the Oregon Registry: https://www.oregon.gov/delc/providers/pages/cbr.aspx
