Our certified childcare center is seeking a dedicated, qualified Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children, while also supporting and supervising aides and volunteers assigned to the classroom.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.
This position will start part-time, with a strong possibility of becoming full-time.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide active supervision of an assigned group of children at all times.
- Supervise and support any aides or volunteers assigned to your classroom.
- Implement ageappropriate curriculum and maintain a positive, nurturing learning environment.
- Follow all center policies, state regulations, and health/safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Meet all initial training requirements (OAR 4143050370) and annual training requirements (OAR 4143050380)
- Meet experience and training qualification requirements for the assigned age group through one of the following pathways:
a. At least 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience* in a Certified Child Care Center, or comparable group care program** in the appropriate age level.
i. Infants and/or toddlers; or Older toddlers OR preschool-age OR school-age children; b. One year or 1,500 hours of qualifying teaching experience in Registered Family or Certified Family child care.
c. Documentation of attaining at least step 6 in the Oregon Registry; OR 9 quarter credits in two CKCs (3 must be in HGD or UGB) d. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree from a college or university with a major in:
i. Early childhood education - Infant, Toddler Age, and/ or Preschool- Age ii. Child Development - Infant, Toddler Age, and/ or Preschool- Age
iii. Special Education - Infant, Toddler Age, and/ or Preschool- Age iv. Human Development - Infant, Toddler Age, and/ or Preschool- Age Child and Family Studies - Infant, Toddler Age, and/ or Preschool- Age
e. A state or nationally recognized credential , e.g. Child Development Associate (CDA) i. Related to infant and toddler care
ii. Related to preschool-age care
- Qualifying Teaching Experience means: For infant/toddler and preschool age groups, gained with a group of the same age children in at least 3hour blocks, within a 36month period; Qualifying teaching experience must be documented. Time spent in a college practicum or practice teaching is considered qualifying teaching experience. The following does not constitute qualifying teaching experience: leader of a scout troop; Sunday school teacher; and coaching.
- Comparable group care program means a program which has the following elements: (a) Individuals are supervised by knowledgeable professionals; (b) Training of individuals is provided or required annually; (c) Group size is similar to a certified child care facility; (d) Curriculum is age appropriate; and (e) The program is not providing uncertified dropin care;
