What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator II position at PHOENIX PAPER WICKLIFFE LLC?
Phoenix Paper Wickliffe LLC is searching for qualified candidates to assume the role of Logistics Coordinator II.
Reporting directly to the Logistic Manager, the Logistics Coordinator II will be responsible for providing effective coordination and execution of reservation/booking arrangements of national and international/export shipments.
Key responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator II include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the daily execution of inbound/outbound shipments
- Update shipment tracking information in Excel spreadsheets. Track shipment progress.
- Assign carriers to shipments, including coordinating spot and contract rates
- Address shipment planning and execution exceptions as needed
- Manage a large volume of orders through the order fulfillment process
- Provide the best shipping option as per customer's requirements
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving department or organization productivity
- Communicate frequently with internal/external customers and carriers
- Coordinate with department managers/supervisors as necessary to stay current with order status and priorities
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is in place prior to shipment
- Follow company safety and security policies
- Complete Shipment Update Reports daily and send to Carriers
- Trouble shoot SAP, TMS, and OPTI errors
- Schedule Return loads with Carriers and Customers
- Process freight invoices, research and correct invoice errors and discrepancies
- Review and approve accessorial charges
- Coordinate joblot shipments. Schedule with customer and carrier.
- Provide freight quotes to customer service
- Create and set up LTL shipments and box trucks
- Complete customs paperwork
- Monitor the production schedule and adjust logistics plans as needed
- Process shipments with Insize Applied Material
- Performs other job duties as assigned
- Represent logistics on the facility weekend duty team rotation
General Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent or 3 (three) years related experience and/or training in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years related Logistics experience
- SAP software experience preferred
- E2Open or similar TMS software experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Task-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
