Responsibilities
- Schedule and perform weed control and fertilization procedures, including inspections, maintenance, and responses.
- Operate a range of vehicles and tools for the application of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers.
- Apply chemicals and fertilizers in accordance with industry practices and regulatory agency rules.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment, and manage inventory of materials.
- Keep accurate records of chemical and biological agents used.
- Evaluate and prepare cost estimates for various projects.
- Ensure safe and appropriate use and disposal of various chemicals and products.
- Inspect completed work and procure parts, materials, and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to company policies to ensure all work and activities are performed safely.
- Be prepared to work in harsh weather conditions and perform mitigation efforts in emergencies.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating light to heavy vehicles and tools, such as trucks, sprayers, and spreaders.
- Knowledge of industry practices and regulatory agency rules for the application of chemicals and fertilizers.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare cost estimates.
- Capability to work in harsh weather conditions and perform mitigation efforts in emergencies.
