POSITION PURPOSE:

In collaboration with the Clinical Director, Director of Client Services, and the BHT Manager, the BHT Supervisor is responsible for operations related to the behavioral health techs and client logistics on an assigned shift basis. The BHT Supervisor must direct all activities in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations as well as demonstrate sound management of company policies in order to achieve overall goals of the business. BHT Supervisor is also responsible for motivating, mentoring and providing effective leadership to the aforementioned team, as well as quality care for the clients.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

1. EDUCATION:

Graduation from High School or GED.

2. EXPERIENCE:

1 - 2 years of experience in Behavioral Healthcare or

related Healthcare field, or the equivalent.

3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Maintains current CPR certification.

4. KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE:

Knowledge of 12-step program

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION

1. Oversees general daily operations of the residences on a shift to shift basis and BHT staff.
2. Provides clear lines of responsibility and accountability within the BHT department; delegates appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.
3. Assists with the coordination of outside appointments.
4. Check that all UA’s are completed and accurate according to BHC guidelines.
5. Consistently coaches staff on areas of improvement under the direction of BHT Manager.
6. Manages breaks for BHT’s.
7. Complies with all HIPAA guidelines and DCF and JCAHO regulations regarding client’s information, including but not limited to keeping client and company information and procedures confidential.
8. Follows Infection Control Guidelines at all times.
9. Ability to communicate emergency policy and procedures clearly and accurately.
10. Conducts frequent perimeter checks to ensure safety of clients.
11. Ensures that BHT & Client Schedules are followed and assists with logistics planning.
12. Assists BHT Manager with completing Monthly Performance Reports for BHT staff.
13. Ensures all BHT’s have the equipment necessary to complete their assigned tasks.
14. Knows and informs BHT’s of the clients scheduled for transfer/discharge on a given day.
15. Inventory and log food cards on a daily basis.
16. Facilitates client’s rules and responsibilities. Reports non-compliance to Treatment Team.
17. Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values; facilitates

    communication with ancillary services.

18. Transports clients in a company vehicle, when necessary.
19. Issues client bed assignments and update the bed chart on a daily basis.
20. Ensures facility logs are completed daily: UA Refrigerator, Fires Safety, Bathroom, Round Sheets, and Communication Log Book.
21. Sends out daily Shift Report to Treatment Team.
22. Assists in interviewing new employees as needed.
23. Issues and collects company keys and phones on their assigned shift.
24. Coordinating with admission for all new admits.
25. Daily contact with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure LTC standards are met.
26. AMA blocking.
27. Performs all duties delegated by BHT Manager.
