CAD Supervisor (Remote)

Build the Standards. Lead the Team.

Axis Engineering Group is looking for an experienced CAD Supervisor to lead our CAD production team supporting telecommunications engineering and utility infrastructure projects throughout New England.

This is more than a drafting position. As the CAD Supervisor, you will establish company CAD standards, mentor designers, improve production workflows, and ensure every set of drawings meets our quality expectations before it reaches our customers.

You will work closely with Operations, Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to deliver accurate construction drawings, permit plans, and as-built documentation while helping our CAD department continue to grow.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise the daily activities of the CAD department.
• Review construction drawings for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company and client standards.
• Develop, implement, and enforce CAD drafting standards and best practices.
• Provide technical support for CAD software and drafting workflows.
• Train, mentor, and develop CAD Designers and Technicians.
• Coordinate drawing standards with customers, utilities, municipalities, and engineering teams.
• Oversee the production of construction drawings, permit packages, and as-built documentation.
• Manage drawing revisions, document control, and project archives.
• Maintain the company's CAD software licenses and hardware inventory.
• Recommend and manage the annual budget for CAD software, equipment, and technology.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency through automation and workflow improvements.
• Work with the Head of Operations to establish department goals, staffing plans, and performance expectations.
• Support multiple engineering projects while maintaining quality and schedule commitments.
