Part-Time IT Support Specialist
We are seeking a dependable and technically capable Part-Time IT Support Specialist to assist with daily technology operations. This role focuses heavily on hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, user account management, device maintenance, and maintaining reliable IT services for staff and students.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, solving technical problems in real time, and supporting a mixed environment of users, devices, printers, and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for staff, faculty, and students across both campuses
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues
- Maintain and support classroom technology, desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices
- Assist with management of student and staff accounts, passwords, permissions, and access issues
- Support Windows workstations, laptops, classroom technology, and peripheral devices
- Diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi and basic network infrastructure issues
- Set up, deploy, and configure computers and devices for new users
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and equipment inventory management
- Respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner
- Escalate complex infrastructure or security issues when necessary
- Assist with maintaining documentation for systems, procedures, and support tasks
- Help ensure technology systems remain secure, organized, and operational during school hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, Wi-Fi, switches, and troubleshooting connectivity
- Experience supporting Windows environments and common educational technology platforms
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or student information systems
- Experience troubleshooting printers and shared print environments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests across campuses
Work Environment
- Part-time position
- Primarily onsite support
- May require lifting and moving computer equipment or printers
