The Vice President of Corporate Communications is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive stakeholder outreach strategies that support the company’s initiatives within a highly regulated consumer product category. The role requires a strategic communicator with deep experience in media relations, regulatory landscapes, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will empower internal teams to articulate the company’s mission and engage effectively with external stakeholders.


Strategic Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Monitor and interpret political, scientific, and regulatory developments relevant to the company’s product category.
  • Build and manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, and government communicators.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent and effective messaging to external audiences.

Risk & Reputation Management

  • Proactively identify communication risks and opportunities tied to regulatory strategies.
  • Develop strategic plans to mitigate reputational risk and enhance public trust.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing communications team, overseeing recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development.
  • Establish departmental goals, budgets, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence

  • Track departmental performance and implement process enhancements.
  • Ensure all communications comply with legal and regulatory standards.


Experience & Expertise

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in corporate communications, preferably within industries involving highly regulated consumer products (e.g., healthcare, personal care, food and beverage, or medical devices).
  • Proven success in media relations across traditional and digital platforms.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and public-facing communications in complex environments.

Leadership & Influence

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in navigating complex, high-stakes environments with discretion and strategic foresight.

Communication Mastery

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and executive presentations.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific and regulatory information into clear, compelling narratives.

Salary : $300,000 - $340,000
