Overview:
Seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to support and enhance financial applications running in an IBM VSE/ESA environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL, CICS, MQ-Series, VSAM, and related tools, and will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and designing programs and utilities to support business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and utilities within the IBM VSE/ESA environment.
Design and implement new programs and batch processes to support financial operations.
Analyze and troubleshoot existing code and batch processes to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform data management and processing using VSAM and related database structures.
Utilize MQ-Series and CICS to support messaging, transaction, and batch processing.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
Required Skills and Technology:
IBM VSE/ESA platform knowledge (DOS-based mainframe systems)
Strong COBOL programming expertise
Experience with CICS and batch processing
Familiarity with VSAM and EasyTrieve
Working knowledge of MQ-Series messaging
Understanding of financial applications and related business processes
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
