Electrical Engineer (P.E.) – Contract
Location: California / Nevada Border (Gold Mine Project)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
We are currently seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (P.E.) with authorization to practice in the State of California and/or Nevada to support a gold mining project located on the California–Nevada border.
This role will play a key part in ensuring electrical designs meet all regulatory and safety requirements, with primary responsibility for reviewing, approving, and stamping engineering drawings for construction and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Stamp and sign off on designs in accordance with California regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Provide technical input and guidance on design improvements where required
- Collaborate with project teams, including EPCM partners, contractors, and client representatives
- Support project timelines by delivering timely reviews and approvals
Qualifications:
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California and/or the state of Nevada (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience reviewing and stamping electrical designs
- Experience in mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, California-specific requirements)
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a contract capacity
