Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Research Associate – Beta Islet Differentiation to join an innovative research team focused on advancing stem cell technologies and regenerative medicine. This role will support the development and optimization of human iPSC-derived beta islet differentiation processes and contribute to assay development, data analysis, and cross-functional scientific initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture, differentiation techniques, molecular biology assays, and flow cytometry in a collaborative research environment.
Responsibilities
- Culture and maintain human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
- Execute and optimize beta islet differentiation protocols.
- Perform multi-color flow cytometry and analyze data using FlowJo.
- Conduct molecular biology assays including qPCR and ELISA.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot cell-based assays.
- Record experimental results using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN).
- Prepare SOPs and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to support research objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, reagents, and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
- 2–6 years of laboratory experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical research.
- Experience culturing human iPSCs.
- Experience with stem cell differentiation workflows.
- Hands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry.
- Experience performing qPCR and ELISA.
- Strong mammalian cell culture experience.
- Experience with assay development and optimization.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pancreatic beta islet differentiation.
- Experience with suspension differentiation or bioreactor cultures.
- Knowledge of regenerative medicine or stem cell biology.
- Experience with FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, and electronic laboratory notebooks.
- Experience working in a GMP or regulated laboratory environment.
