We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented ERS Operations Specialist to support a global Early Research Sciences (ERS) organization. This role combines scientific operations, research coordination, logistics, budget tracking, and administrative support to help accelerate early-stage drug discovery programs.
The ideal candidate has a scientific background in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field, along with experience supporting research operations in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate scientific operations and support collaborations with internal research teams and external CRO partners.
- Manage research-related logistics, project coordination, and operational workflows.
- Track project budgets, purchase orders, expenditures, and financial commitments while supporting forecasting activities.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of research compounds, biological samples, and scientific materials.
- Maintain shipping documentation and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Collect, analyze, and report operational data, KPIs, and research metrics using Excel and reporting tools.
- Prepare presentations, dashboards, operational reports, and leadership updates.
- Support process improvements, documentation, and day-to-day research operations within a cross-functional environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, or related Life Sciences.
- Experience supporting scientific operations, research administration, laboratory operations, or project coordination.
- Knowledge of scientific terminology, chemical compounds, or biological materials.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, CRO, or Research Institute experience.
- Experience managing purchase orders, budgets, or research financial tracking.
- Knowledge of scientific sample logistics, import/export, and international shipping.
- Experience with data reporting, dashboards, Spotfire, or Business Intelligence tools.
