We are seeking an AIP Technician Assistant to support pathology laboratory operations for preclinical safety studies. This role assists with necropsy and histology activities, specimen handling, laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, and documentation while ensuring compliance with GLP, SOPs, EHS, and animal welfare regulations. The ideal candidate has laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and an interest in pathology, histology, or animal research.
Key Responsibilities
- Support necropsy and histology activities for GLP and non-GLP preclinical studies.
- Prepare, collect, label, process, and track tissue specimens while maintaining chain of custody.
- Assist with tissue processing, specimen handling, and laboratory documentation.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, workspaces, and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, SOPs, EHS, and animal welfare regulations.
- Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory managers, and research staff to ensure high-quality laboratory operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 1–3 years of laboratory experience or Associate's degree in Biology, Animal Science, Histology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment with GLP and SOP compliance.
- Preferred experience in histology, tissue processing, necropsy, pathology, or animal research.
- Strong organizational skills, documentation accuracy, and attention to detail.
