It's a strong fit for someone who is organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable owning a project from kickoff to close-out.
What You'll Do:
- Plan, schedule, and drive cross-functional projects to completion — timelines, budgets, resourcing, and risk tracking.
- Manage day-to-day operations: vendor coordination, procurement, logistics, and facilities/venue arrangements.
- Build and maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status reports for leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and external partners in the DMV area.
- Coordinate event/program logistics on-site when needed, including travel within the DC/VA/MD region.
- Identify process gaps and implement SOPs to improve efficiency and consistency across teams.
- Manage budgets and expense tracking for assigned projects; flag variances early.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and scheduling for project staff or contractors as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and escalate appropriately.
What We're Looking For:
- 3–6 years in Sports Infrastructure or Sports Flooring project management, operations (Sports Infrastructure or Sports Flooring only).
- Track record of managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable managing up and coordinating across teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Smartsheet, or similar) and standard office software.
- Based in or willing to work from the DC/VA/MD area; able to travel locally as needed.
- PMP or similar certification a plus, not required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Sports Infrastructure or Sports Flooring industry.
- Vendor/contract negotiation experience.
- Familiarity with budgeting and basic financial reporting.
- Should have existing client database and dealing history.
