Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various aspects of construction projects, from site preparation to finishing touches. Responsibilities
Assist with site setup, including clearing debris and preparing work areas for construction activities
Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as moving materials, tools, and equipment around the site
Support concrete pouring, mixing, and finishing processes to create durable foundations and structures
Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) according to blueprints and specifications to reinforce concrete structures
Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks like cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of construction plans
Help with framing, formwork construction, masonry work, roofing, and other carpentry-related tasks as needed
Follow all construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for yourself and colleagues
Assist with installation of hardscape features such as paving stones or retaining walls during renovation or restoration projects
Support specialized tasks like stucco application, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, or metal stud framing when required
Experience
Previous experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated individuals
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and basic blueprint reading is highly advantageous
Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices is essential for maintaining a secure work environment
Hands-on experience with concrete mixing, pouring, cutting, finishing, or formwork construction will set candidates apart
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately ensures precise execution of project plans
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments
Construction experience in areas such as masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, or restoration projects is a plus
