Warehouse Specialist

PRG has partnered with a growing telecommunications service company to hire a Warehouse Specialist in Statesville, NC. This is a hands-on warehouse position supporting the receiving, organization, inventory, and shipment of cable and related materials.

What You'll Do

• Receive incoming cable products, reels, materials, and shipments and verify quantities and condition
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Pick, pack, stage, label, and prepare materials for shipment
• Scan and track inventory using warehouse management or inventory systems
• Organize cable reels, wire products, accessories, and other warehouse materials
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory
• Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
• Follow warehouse and material-handling safety procedures
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and operating efficiently
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet shipping deadlines and customer requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse experience is required
• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus, but willingness to obtain certification is acceptable
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse software
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing lists, and product labels
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Cable or wire products
• Telecommunications materials
• Fiber or electrical components
• Manufacturing or industrial materials
• Shipping and receiving
• Inventory control
• Barcode scanning
• WMS or ERP systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to safely handle heavy cable reels and related materials
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Schedule

This position will work one of the following schedules:

• 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Overtime, weekends, or schedule flexibility may occasionally be required based on business needs.
